History of Public/ Al Hilal Central College In Tambalaik village with a history of 400 years, a school was started in 1909 in the middle of ancient Tambalaik village in a small hall covered with coconut leaves and was maintained under the guidance of a teacher. Till 1948, the school was run by a single teacher namely A. The service provided by Chellathurai was special. In 1952, the building which is now the main hall of this school was built and the school was maintained with 03 teachers and 60 children. Then in 1957, M. who served as the principal of this school. Learned from Rajadurai M.L. Ahmed Lebbi was appointed as a Muslim sub-teacher and came to this school as a teacher, which brought great joy to the principal and the villagers. Class 06 was started in 1958. In 1964, the school's playground, which looked like a stadium, was reconstructed and a house sports festival was held that year. In that year, the school was named Bo/ Al Hilal Muslim College. N.M.A., an alumnus of the school and father of the current Water Supply Minister Raoob Hakeem, was appointed as the new principal in 1966. Mr. Starting from Grade 09 through Raoob's efforts, classes were held only up to Grade 8 in 1968 at the strong request of the Education Office. M.L. who came as the Chief Minister in 1974. Mr. Ahmed Lebbi GEC that year 09 children appeared in the examination and 06 of them qualified for Apoza higher education. I would also like to mention that in 1982, GEC got permission to conduct up to high quality arts and commerce classes.

In 2009, permission was given to conduct science and mathematics courses, but only two teachers were given for science and mathematics. In the year 2009, the school was absorbed into the Izuru School Development System introduced by the then government and was limited to opening only the name boards. Then in 2012, this school was selected under the program to develop 1000 higher secondary schools and in 2014 Mahindodaya Technical Laboratory was constructed and the program was stopped. A school with a long history in the region, the school has produced many doctors, engineers, lawyers and dignitaries.
